How do I install the program?
Run AudioRecorderEditorFree.exe and follow Setup. If Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is missing, Setup tells you and opens Microsoft’s download page. Windows 11 already includes WebView2 on most PCs. You need 64-bit Windows 10 version 2004 or later, or Windows 11.
How do I uninstall it?
Close the program, open Settings › Apps › Installed apps, find Audio Recorder Editor Free, click the three-dot menu and choose Uninstall. Your own recordings and exported files are not deleted.
How much does Audio Recorder Editor Free cost?
Nothing. Every feature, including MP3, FLAC and AAC export, is free. There is no trial period and no registration key to buy.
Do I have to pay for updates or support?
No. Updates are free, and so is email support. You can switch the startup update check on or off in the Help menu.
What should I do if something goes wrong?
Read the technical support checklist first, it solves most problems. If you are still stuck, email support@audio-editor.com with your Windows version, what you did and any error message.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes for normal recording, editing and saving of files on your PC. The internet is only needed for YouTube import, the first-time download of helper components and update checks.
Where can I download it safely?
Download only from audio-editor.com/download/. We do not distribute the installer through other sites.
